Documents required for Super visa application

Evidence of the parent or grandparent relationship to the Canadian citizen or permanent resident you wish to visit (E.g. Birth certificate, Baptismal certificate or other official document naming you as a parent)
Letter of invitation from your child or grandchild that includes arrangements for care as well as support and indicates the number of people residing in their household in Canada (mandatory)
Proof from your child or grandchild that he or she meets the Low Income Cut-Off (LICO)
Proof that you have private medical insurance valid for a minimum period of one year from a Canadian insurance company for a coverage of $100,000

Requirements

Super Visa health insurance, also called travel and visitors insurance for Super Visa, is designed to cover medical emergency treatment costs incurred while a Super Visa holder resides in Canada.

To apply for Super Visa you must have a proper medical emergency insurance policy with a minimum coverage of $100,000 and for a period of 1 year.

Super Visa Insurance Canada must:

Cover health care, hospitalization and repatriation
Be valid for each entry to Canada and available for review by a Point of Entry (POE) officer
Be purchased from a private Canadian insurance company
